Topic: SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems can be a core component in critical infrastructures such as the electricity grid. SCADA security has hence received a fair amount of attention over the last decade. This Proseminar/Seminar will examine the state of the art and further research directions in SCADA security.

Topic: Group signatures combine authentication and anonymity. The verifier can check that a document was signed by a member of the group, but does not know by whom. Group signatures are thus of interest in applications where user privacy is desired. The Proseminar will cover the design, security analysis, and implementation of group signature schemes.

We are searching for a student to work on a Java programming project.
Your task is the following:
- get acquainted with the existing code base
- set up the build environment
- understand the program
- identify certain points in the program flow to be able to add the needed extensions
- test your changes and the compatibility with the dependent programs
- document your work/changes
You should have the following skills:
- good Java knowledge, possibly with some experience in software projects
- good scripting skills
- knowledge in Cygwin environments would be beneficial
- knowledge of Java GUI programming would be beneficial
- familiarity with libraries JMF and kXML2 would be beneficial
- good communication skills, teamworking abilities, accuracy, timeliness
